Following the fire outbreak in a house at block 1600 Oak Street, the Burbank firefighters have been able to carry out a rescue operation from which a dog was rescued successfully.
According to the Battalion Chief John Owings who is a spokesperson for the fire department, the outbreak and the location, which is the home’s attic was initially reported around 1:15 am.
John Owings explained that despite the circumstances surrounding the outbreak, Firefighters were successful in containing the flame before it could cause any significant damage at exactly 2:22 a.m.
No injuries were sustained or reported resulting from the outbreak and the rescued dog has been confirmed safe without any injury.
Investigations are still on to determine the cause of the outbreak.
