A blaze in Rialto has left two trapped people dead after efforts to rescues them failed. Authority reported the diseased were trapped in the apartment and could not make it out in time before they lost consciousness and died.
According to Rialto Fire Department, The blaze, which allegedly took place on Thursday at about 7 p.m. close to Merrill and Willow Avenue, has rendered over 20 people homeless with no hope of where to turn to. However, the Red Cross has intervened in the situation. They are actively trying to get a place for them to stay.
It was reported that adjacent units sustained smoke and fire damages while efforts made to contain the outbreak proves more successful in just one of the apartment units.
Though an active investigation is in place to determine the cause of the outbreak, the name of the victims, however, has not been released to the members of the public.
